I was the one out there, consumed by the scorching heat of the day and by the frost at night, and sleep fled from my eyes.

If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not stuck with me, you would have sent me off penniless. But God saw the fix I was in and how hard I had worked and last night rendered his verdict.”

The scorching heat during the day and the cold at night wore me down, and I lost a lot of sleep.
Often the scorching heat devoured me by day, and the frost by night, while sleep fled from my eyes!

By day I was burnt by the sun and by night I suffered from the cold, and I spent many sleepless nights.

And what was my life like? The heat burned me in the daytime. And it was so cold at night that I froze. I couldn’t sleep.
